OK here is what I think---We lose to OK State, Ark State, Monroe, Florida , and maybe Troy or FIU------Say we are 7-5 or 8-4----This is a damn good year and we Geaux bowling----Reasons --- OK State and Florida just too good-----Troy is away and probably will be back----FIU is at home but damn good and between Ok State and Tulane----Ark State with great new coach and guys coming in-------and lastly MONROE----just might be their time (God gave us one year more last year and we play there) Hope I am very wrong on this!!!! Also WKU with their great recruiting worries me---Difference is that this year we sneak up on nobody except Fla---Even OK State knows what we are capable of doing!!!!
Back to back bowls close to home worked for a team on the rise in the early 2000's...that team...Boise State. Let's not look a gift horse in the mouth.
Boomer, Boomer, Boomer! I am so disappointed. The negativity is hurtful to the core. This team sneaks up on nobody because they need not sneak up on anyone. They will be perfectly capable of taking a sledge hammer to any team they face & do Plenty damage. Ok. St. knows what we were able to do, not what we are now capable of. There is a huge difference between the two. And it is pretty obvious they can still "sneak" up on opponents. The way it sounds, they are going to sneak up on you & you may have seen more of these guys this year than I have.
Who's to say we don't sweep conference? I wasn't at the spring game but based on the numbers it sounds like the defense was the big winner. With the addition of Fields and hopefully the other guy who's name is eluding me right now, the D could be downright good. We already know the offense is gonna score. Definitely something to be excited about!
I'm looking for at least 10-2. I think Ok. St. is a football machine now. And will be our toughest opponent this season by a stretch. Yet I'm hearing from guys in the know who think we can beat them. Depending on our performance against those guys, this team could have an incredible season. I think we play them tough, but they'll be hard to beat at home. I believe this team goes to Florida & comes back with a W. it all depends on a let down somewhere during the year, whether this team runs the table or not after OSU IMO.
