IDK. I'm thinking about taking one in December & leaving the the 1st of January open. Didn't USM end up in Hawaii this past season. We've been wanting to go there. Seriously, I think this team can win eleven games. And I can't see them winning any less than nine no matter how it gets sliced. The biggest hurdle I see down the road is success itself.

I think we're better than last year, but don't forget that "Lady Luck" was really on our side for 3 or 4 games. Hopefully we will not need her as much this year!!

Don't forget Lucy got kidnapped early in the season. Therefore we did not need lady luck. I hear Lucy is being held in a lovely little cottage in Rust-On La. She will be stepping out in that town around September, but we have a swat squad to keep her out of Acadiana.

I was impressed with DL #45 and RB #20. LUCK goes a long way in a season.Must stay HEALTHY and have the ball bounce YOUR way in closely contested games.

I understand this line of thinking & I would also agree in that saying this team may have played a little over their heads last year to accomplish what they were able to. They also did have a degree of luck, but a lot of that luck was self made. The way I see it as of now, is that this team is acting like they are just as lucky because they are in the process of making their own luck again by virtue of their level of intensity, & while it is true that health is an issue, it is always more of an issue when there is no depth. This team is deep in many areas. That is what is so great about them. They have guys who believe they can play & therefore are working to play at a higher level than I think many outside observers would have thought they could play at. They also have better athletes coming in who want to play football & be good citizens which is bringing the overall talent level, depth, & character of this program to a level it has never before seen. Also, for the record, this is one of the best college coaching staffs in this country, bar none.

I don't know how long this ride will last, but everyone ought to enjoy it as much as they can for as long as they can. Whether this program becomes a perrinial powerhouse or falls flat on its face again in a few years, it will never be at the point it is now again. This is all completely uncharted virgin territory for this football program that no matter how many times it happens in the future, it will never be the first time ever again.

AKA the Law of diminishing Marginal utility.

Even if we return to the New Orleans bowl this year, it wont even compare to last year. Last year was special.

I think fans need to get used to an annual bowl (several in NO) before they will begin traveling out of state for a bowl game.
