Normally, I would agree with you but it seems that ALL of our receivers tend to struggle with catching the ball consistently at this time of year and even early fall. Guys like Lawson, Surgent and even Ladarius Green have struggled in recent years at the beginning of the season and spring to get it together and play great as the year goes on. I'm sure Figaro is a better receiver in terms of catching the ball than he showed this weekend as many guys had drops, including Jamal Robinson who had a big drop.

Idk about u guys but i cant wait til ex ole miss commit Delvin Jones Touches the field,he goes by "ocho" because of his simular facial feautures of chad ocho cinco, All the guys on the team believe he has all confernece potiential and will be a dominate LB/DE in this league, during practices and scrimmages, he jumps up and down and screams and celebrates Just as much as the coaches, That will transfer on the field and i cant wait to see it

I think everyone's pretty excited to see Delvin Jones and Jalen Fields get to campus. The defense was solid, but those 2 should be able to contribute early hopefully and add some explosivity to that side.

i know that, nobody looks crisp in spring.... I have low standards as far as spring ball...but what i saw was difficulty on his part, he was the only receiver to drop a ball in warmups....and he didn't drop just one, he dropped 3

Not trying to get down on the guy, i see playmaker written all over him

just saying don't have sky Hugh expectations

I think one thing we should all realize is the overall pace & intensity at which this game was played. There were some incredible plays made by several individuals, that in light of the overall team speed & intensity showed by everyone may not have seemed as extraordinary as it really was. Case in point was the onside kick Baer made. You just don't make those kinds of plays in Sping football. Another was Robinson's catch & the catch & run he made in the 1st Qtr. Putting everything into perspective, anyone who wasn't impressed with the work of this squad overall just can't be pleased. This team will win & win a lot this season.

Delvin Jones will definitely start at the on of the outside backers, we will be a great fit in the 3-4....he will provide us with best pass rush from lb spot we have seen in years
and jalen fields will be a beast at de

I think we will be able to get after qb consistently this year

Agreed, comaparing this spring game to the ones I went watch when bustle was here....wow. The level of play saturday was far above what we used to see in those spring games. I remember leaving those thinking nobody can throw and nobody can catch, which is good for the defense cause nobody can tackle. I definitly did not have that feeling when I left saturday, it was more lilke, we know our starting quarterback is great, but his backup may be better. We have playmakers all over the field. This team will be good.

Including Delvin, LOL!!! UL didn't sign him to be a cheerleader, we will see what he can do when he hits the field. Right now, he is a really good athlete. This fall will tell if he is a really good football player.
