Not to mention, they could easily be one of the best teams in the country this year despite a down year last year. They will blow us out but we will hopefully bounce back
Arkansas State signed just as many quality players as us too. With Malzhan there, they will be amped up just like our team was last year.
I still hold out hope that Malzhan won't be that great of a head coach. I'm not familiar with his track record, but it seams like his claim to fame was having a potent offense at Auburn with probably the most dynamic player to ever play college football. Bustle would have had a 9-3 team with Cam at QB.
A little side note, Bustle was a high profile OC and was just average as a coach.
IDK if you had the chance to see them play last year or not, but their talent is not dominant & their coaching is even less impressive. The fact they let UL snooker them out of 100 Gs more to take a chance on paying out a mill to be embarrassed publicly speaks volumes about the direction of that program.
This team is more than capable of going over there & hanging a loss on them. You now have my upset special for the 2012 season. I just hope Fla. plays well enough before then do that victory will carry some weight with pollsters.
ASU lost just as many big play defenders as UL did on defense, Joiner, Brown and few others gone. Their strength will be on the offensive side of the football, like the Cajuns. Considering what we have on offense returning, playing them at Cajun Field and having two viable options at QB, my money will be on the Cajuns. Its hard for me to believe that ASU is going to be as good on defense this season, losing 3 NFL prospects then last years squad.
Kyle, OSU returns only 3 starters on offense this year. That offense won't be anywhere close to an offense with Blackmon, Weeden and most of the offensive line. The RB Randle is verly talented and they have 8 starters returning on defense. If the Cajuns can play some defense, that game will be alot more compatible then last season's game.
I believe this will be a much closer game than last year. I also believe there is a slight possibility UL can win this game. If they do, they could run the whole damn table. I say that because Florida is a joke. They don't have the talent people think they do. They certainly don't have the coaching. & they most certainly don't have the same strength of character that carried them through the Tebow years. Urban Meyer wasn't any dummy for cutting out of there when he did. I absolutely believe UL will go to FLorida & win. In fact I am planning on travelling to that game if I'm not working.
