Yes they mail renewal notices sometime in March. And if I recall correctly, this year they followed up the written notice with a phone call. I received my call sometime in April.Originally Posted by Tripple Threat

Way to go RedBug. I had 13 last year down to 6 this year. Thanks for picking up some of my slack. If things get a little bit brighter prior to the season starting I will pick up some more seats.Originally Posted by RedBug58

Instead we are suppossed to get all geeked up at the thought of playing mcneese. And there are some that want to make it an annual event. Maybe the admin can have a ticket drive marketed as "back to the Future".

I don't see anything wrong with going 2 for 1 to get a home game with any of Tulane/Houston/Rice/SMU/Tulsa/Southern Miss/Memphis.
The more these teams play us again, the more they will be willing to go 1 for 1. Refusing a 2 for 1 would be the prideful thing to do, but wrong.

If we want fans to get excited then we need to upgrade our OOC schedule. Playing teams such as LA Tech, Houston, and Southern Miss on a yearly basis is one of the things we need to do. Playing McNeese will do nothing to help us and a loss could set us back greatly. I think many people want UL to succeed, but they want proof that this program is moving forward and last season wasn't a flash in the pan. How do we do that? Put together a couple more winning seasons and get some OOC D-IA wins. Also, we need to put together a advertising campaign in the Acadiana area that promotes purchasing UL football tickets. An idea I had was for the Athletic Dept. to work with the Marketign and Advertising departments on campus to develop a campaign for them.
You get fans excited by winning!!! Boise State won games to get to where they are right now and by not playing "money games" or "body bag" games whatever you want to call them. If you win fans will get excited regardless of who you beat. You have to change the tradition of losing by winning some games and and the best way to do that is to win games regardless of who they are against.Originally Posted by RaginCajun77
