That top of the ninth run was so frustrating. 2 outs and a man in 1st with Faulkner up. Bad pick off play moves him to 2nd, no big deal still 2 out and now a base open for Faulkner. But we pith to him and he knocks in the, what turned out to be, winning run. The guy that was on deck was like 1/8 on the year.

Tony took the blame for that run after the game at least. Still a frustrating couple of games that we didnt pitch as well in clutch situations as we needed to.

Big road week coming up, so they need to put it behind them

Young team making young team mistakes. Another series like the Southern Miss series that the Cajuns should have had.

Fun series fellas. You guys fought hard, and have some strong hitters in that lineup. For some reason, we just seem to play well down at Tigue Moore Field.

Your guys can hit...is Faulkner graduating? Ready to see him go, he has been tormenting us for years.

He's a draft eligible junior. I expect he will be drafted, however I am not sure whether it will be very high. He was drafted 20th round out of High School because of his speed and defense.

However, he and our Friday Night starter are the only guys of consequence we could potentially lose this year, and if Faulkner doesnt get drafted high enough...watch out. The majority of our lineup is either Freshman or Sophomores

Our team is as well. Congrats on a good series win. 3 tough, well-fought games.

We can't continue to have FOUR defensive errors, base running mistakes and give up 8 runs if we want to win. So many missed opportunities in both Saturday & Sunday's game.

However I did get to visit with some great folks, the beer was cold and the weather was awesome!

The trip back to Texas was horrible. 2 hours later we were not even to Rayne along I10 due to an 18 wheeler wreck. Can't wait to be back in Lafayette!

Enjoyed the visit with you and your dad on Saturday and you hit the nail on the head. Can not do those things and still expect to win.

We pretty much attempted to do the same thing on Sunday. We left 10 baserunners in the first 4 inings, and still somehow managed to win the game. Ran out of pitching in the 6th and had to piece things together to get to our closer who wasnt the sharpest either.

As one of our posters put it in our game thread..."This game wont appear in any instructional video's anytime soon."

Good luck this year, hopefully we can meet again in late May in Bowling Green, KY..
