Thread: Marlin looks forward

  1. Default Marlin looks forward

As the NCAA Tournament Field is narrowed to its Final Four today, Bob Marlin has much-more pressing matters on his plate.

Though willing to look back one more time, the UL basketball coach is most interested in looking ahead.

Marlin is not looking ahead for UL Basketball he has now found out he is over his head and is seeking a job anywhere he can. The Tulsa and MS jobs are gone so now he is looking for anything. Samford Al, SMU or anything. He wants out and no one is giving him any attention. He has plenty of problems that he can't over come in the 3 years left on his contract. He would like an extension. Since Hud got new contract he thinks he has had more sucess than Coach Hud. The University needs to take a hard look before they resign him. This is not the Southland.

Right -it's not- it is the Sun Belt, where Marlin is 21-11 in his first two years.

Among the best during that time frame.

And he's 21-11 in his tenure at UL after two years of teams where the word "dysfunctional" doesn't appear to even come close to describing the situation. Let's see what he can do when he gets some people in who actually believe in what he's teaching in practice...

I'm sorry that you, or one of your family members, could not fit into Coach Marlin's program. Best of luck in the future. However, in the real world employees work at the direction of the boss, not the other way around.
