Thread: Marlin looks forward

Marlin will be here through his contract unless he chooses to leave early.

There is tremedous financial pressure on athletics due to state budget reductions, including $1,000,000 recent reduction this fiscal year.

It is unlikely any contracts will be bought out early unless the person coaching is a total disaster, and Marlin is not close to be that, although he seems to be struggling.

We don't need to get rid of Marlin. Marlin just needs to get his assistants to recruit to our obvious needs. He is a good coach but like I said before "we need mo' talent".

We need talent with good attitudes. Sometimes that's not to easy to find in today's basketball environment.

Well said; but that's why he is getting the big bucks. I'm not protecting Marlin but we hired supposedly some great assistants and their job is to recruit. OK, we got Long - good that's one - now what about the guy that brought all that talent to Tech? I thought he was our stud recruiter well start studding!

Since Hud got new contract he thinks he has had more sucess than Coach Hud. The University needs to take a hard look before they resign him. This is not the Southland.

Yes, we were .500 in both his first seasons, but I refuse to go back to the Robert Lee Days. Those days were horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still say give him a few more years to see if we can have some winning seasons. Hell we did make the Post season this year in the Collegeinsider.com tourney.

Maybe Jessie wasn't so bad hon?

Its been a while since the NCAAs.
