it's almost 10:00 and still not a drop of rain............
gotta love our weather men.
"There's a big storm coming today"
a few hours later..
"oh it's coming tonight"
Later that night
"It will be here first thing tomorrow morning"
I was up at 2 this morning...rain still had yet to fall in Mire...20 miles west of Lafayette.
It rained bad from 5-6 and that's about it. Where is this 100 year storm? Where is this cataclysmic event that caused everyone to shut down schools and run for higher ground in a pants wetting panic? Kids are getting a free day off, while the school board has to sit back and remind themselves how bad the weather is. "They said it was gonna hail, right?" "They said there was gonna be tornadoes, right?" "No way anyone can learn on a day like this, right?"
Ridiculous, just a little rain and wind people. Damn America has become sissified. Cajun90, those "storms" that were developing in baton rouge and new Orleans, those are called showers, because that's all they were. We of all people from south Louisiana being scared of rain, just ridiculous. Before anybody starts justifying about safety of the children and all this other sissified nonsense, I don't care, it's rain people not a blizzard, rain.
any makeup date yet???? was looking forward to this game
See. I told you so. And your concern over the winds is hilarious. If winds were the case they could never play baseball in Oklahoma or Texas. Once again our weather service tried to err on the side of caution but the warnings were WAY over the top. According to the weather channel Lafayette had just over 1 inch of rain in the last 24 hours.
