Arizona State and Notre Dame are in a rain delay on Field #1 (one report said the game was cancelled). Arizona State (home team) leads Notre Dame 1-0 T4th with no outs and an Irish runner on 1st base.

No reports on the Virginia/Michigan game being played at Field #2. Gametracker does not receive updates from Field #2, no doubt due to facility limitations.

Just checked the weather radar and there has been a gradual increase in rain in the area. Steve said that rain for UL Vs Iowa is at 80% and Arizona 100%. The trend looks bleak.

Reports are that all of the games on Field #2 have been cancelled. Arizona State/Notre Dame was also cancelled (stats accumulated will not count).

LAFAYETTE, La. -- The Ragin’ Cajuns softball games against Iowa and No. 13 Arizona have been cancelled due to the amount of rain in the Fullerton, Calif. area.

As a result, UL (26-0, 3-0) will finish its trip out west in the Judi Garman Classic with a 3-0 record. Their wins include a 9-2 victory over No. 5 ranked defending national champion Arizona State, 5-1 against Penn State and 9-1 over Fresno State.

The No. 10 ranked Cajuns went undefeated in the Classic for the first time since 1994, which stands as the lone year Louisiana has won the tournament.

UL will return home to Lamson Park on Thursday against non-conference foe Georgia Tech in a doubleheader starting at 5:00 p.m. Game one will be broadcasted by local KLAF television.
