Sun Belt Conference

Benson is the former WAC commissioner. I think he'll push for a full merger with what's left of the WAC to form a two division Sunbelt Conference. That may not be such a bad thing. We could add a Conference Championship Game which would hopefully add money to our bottom line. Every other conference seems to be taking the "bigger is better" approach to realignment.

I fully agree with Oiler.......merge, work together for better TV packages and get this behind us.

Every other conference doing bigger is better maybe isn't better. It is all going by BCS.....something that seems to be centered around money. But from a fan's standpoint.....they don't lik a ltof it. If Benson tries to pick up the rest of the WAC into the Sun Belt .... it'll be stupid.

If you are meing no merger of the WAC and SUn BElt.....GOOOD!!!! Keep the Sun Belt a regional conference, in the south, build a good fan base and rivalries. Cuz I think the great SEC is making a mistake by allowing A&M and Mizzou in. Neither are southeast US. If things keep going the way it looks, conferences will have teams from all areas of the US, all just for money purposes. I guess it makes sense from a business standpoint but a lot of fans don't like it

No merger, but cherry picking teams that will add to the conference. For example good luck Vandals you are not coming in.

Again.....no teams from WAC other than LA Tech maybe Tx State and one of the other TX teams that was supposed to be joining the WAC this year. if we just going to add any team change the name from Sun Belt to All America Conference

UTSA, Louisiana Tech and Texas State all fit the current foot print of the Sun Belt. All three have spoken to Benson about possible membership.

I thought UTA was also going to WAC but wouldn't hurt my feelings if they stayed in the Southland

I like the idea of adding teams.

I hate the idea of 3 teams from Louisiana. (again)

It is like the LSU educational model for sports. Divide and conquer, none will reach their potential.
