Often your view is right but it is not a lock. For example Southall was a good get, but it took a while to get his best, and Green was a good get from day one, Mitchell from Auburn was a great get from day one. So yes we can hope, but I will jump for joy when I see them on the floor and producing well.

I agree it is highly unlikely our two transfers will match what Green and Mitchell gave us. Those were outstanding players and set the bar high. I do hope and am optimistic that they are better than most of the players we have now and will improve the team some. I will not automatically assume they will be busts nor will I assume they will be stars. Wronkowski improved as the season went along as he did not start practicing until almost December as he was a starter on a football team which advanced won their first round playoff game. It took him awhile to get in basketball mode.

I also think Coach Marlin has the potential to win big here provided he brings the right guys in. If that happens, attendance will be fine no matter the style. His style is not much different than what most teams employ today. Watching the NCAA tournament, I noticed how few teams press unless they are in desperation mode.

It's not the style, it's that we can't shoot. If we could shoot nobody would be complaining about style. If we could shoot decent and make free throws we would have won 20 plus games and crowds would be fine.

My question is "do we still have to wait until 15 games into the schedule next year to voice a complaint," or chalk it up to having to wait on chemistry and find a good rotation because of all of the new guys??

Lets face it, the problem is we just dont have a good coach. A good coach know how to put a team together and win. Marlon will have to show himself in year three.

Fact1 : UL has had a great history of winning in the past 101 years.

Fact 2: There have only been three coaches in those 101 years who started off better (in their first two years) than Marlin has started in his first two tears.

I really hope Marlin does well. I am not after him I just want the best for the program and I hope he finds recruits that love the university and want to play for us so we can get back to where we belong. Looking forward to the future. Geaux Cajuns

If your friends could shoot free throws, we would have won 20+ games. I don't blame Marlin for missed FT, the easiest part of the game.

I'd be more concerned with our fans. They _____ and moan all day about everything from uniform color to helmet color to free throw percentage. How many of these fans actually put their butts in the seats for our teams? Not many from what I can tell. Why? Most say it is because we aren't winning.... then when we do start winning we criticize those that we view as bandwagon fans. So what is it.. we need to win to support our teams our we need bandwagon fans to get on board when we win? There is a huge thread about the attendance of the CIT game.. why? If we can't get our season ticket holders to step up and go to the game why should non fans? We can't even get enough students to fill the student section......
