Well it should have been promoted as our B-ball Bowl game ---remember NO-----get the folks thinking---I posted this well before but our DA guy was on an ordered furlough---------WOW---I think this is what Jay posted!!!!NOT GOOD!!!!

Fans are not stupid. Everyone knows Hud had something special brewing in football. We won 8 regular season games for the first time in 20 years and went to a bowl game for the first time in 40+ years. There is a lot to be excited about.

Basketball has very little to get excited about. Seven years of losing basketball, a .500 record in a poor conference, poor shooting, problems in recruiting and multiple suspensions is what the the storyline of this teams is. Many people associated with UL love Cajun basketball, but they have busy lives and know the product on the floor is lacking. Time for Marlin and his staff to start producing some better play with better players. That is what will bring the fans back.

Please spare me, one section of the FOUR allotted for students is not packed. Also, outside of the first six rows in the student section, the students were lame!

It was 2 sections. I cannot really say anything about their level of intensity. We dont sit down on the first row, I really dont pay attention to what is going on behind us.

We haven't had talent remotely close to the Jessie Evan's years. Until that happens you won't see good crowds, it is flat out boring to go watch a game lately.

I really really really miss seeing Dwayne Mitchell and Brian Hamilton flying to the rim for alley-oop slam dunks! Here is a great video compilation of the '04-'05 season dunks in the dome... GOD I miss thisssss!!!

That video deserves it's own thread. In fact, that video should be shown to our current team and coaches... at the end of it, it shows Dwayne Mitchell slamming it down in the final minute of the Sun Belt Championship to put us into the NCAA Tourny for the second straight season.

Our current roster could learn a few things about where this team once was just a few short years ago. We need excitement back in the dome.
