On Saturday, Southern Miss used home runs to get by the Cajuns and even the series. In the series finale on Sunday, the Golden Eagles used two big scoring innings to get their runs in an 11-3 victory that claimed the weekend series over the Ragin’ Cajuns baseball team at M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field.

Maybe I'm blind, but where is the post about the baseball game? I was busy outside and wasn't able to listen, so I was wondering who won the game?

We were in the game until the top of the 9th when they put up 5. Should have won this series. Young teams make mistakes. Let's hope we keep growing up.

I think not having Zimmerman this weekend hurt us alot....think we could have gotten 2 out of this weekend if we had him. Anyone know how Robe faired today? Last i heard he had 4k's going into the 4th......

I dont think pitching cost us the series this weekend. 3 runs given up (after 9 inn.) on Saturday and we just needed a few fly balls to pad our lead is what cost that game. We would have been going for the sweep yesterday.

We surrendered 7 earned runs to 3 for USM yesterday. 6 ER were after our starter left yesterday. Maybe starting pitching wasn't the problem. Sundays can get weird. That's why Friday and Saturday are so important.
