Two Escaped Inmates Back Behind Bars

It was quite a busy morning for law enforcement in Lafayette.

Twenty-two year old Kevin Gildhouse and 30 year old, Tony Johnson escaped from the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center just after one-thirty Saturday morning after over powering a deputy.

The men were on the run for more than five hours before being captured near the intersection of Ambassador Caffery and Robley Drive in Lafayette. Gildhouse was arrested at the Super One Food Store and Johnson arrested across the street by the Valero gas station.
