No offense but last year's team at this time was no where near as good as this year's team is right now. They were struggling in many areas to find out who was going to be playing where. That carried itself all the way into a good portion of the season. There was great maturation shown by last year's team, but this team has taken off from where last year's team handed them the baton. I wish those who graduated could have had another year with this coaching staff to see how far they could have brought their level of play. Those guys built a great foundation, But these guys are going to exceed well beyond the marks set by the team last season. In other words this is going to be the best UL football team ever.
If Montrel was number 11 on the field yesterday, UL fans are going to see more than a little of him. I'm, not sure how much of my long winded narrative you absorbed, but I played with Verdin. This guy remeinded me of Verdin when I saw him on film, but right now he's better than Verdin ever was. For the record, Verdin played in the NFL for about ten years I think.
----------What timing with Rice coming in---I wrote this on the way back from our victory over Rice in our first big time game----Div 1-A???----"When the referee give his signal him----and da game it start to enfold----Caw, a shock go tru da crowd----In 12 seconds Clarance done cross der Goal" Yes there is more to it but a great night for the Cajuns!!!!
You mad Bro? Another one line drive by? What a surprise. You afraid if you actually post something which requires more than fifteen seconds of analysis, you'll show your true ignorance? Yes I blocked for Verdin in Jr. high & high school. Those are the usual levels that one must play before going to college & the NFL if one is fortunate enough. Am I supposed to be ashamed of that? You can bet I aint braggin about it. He was a first class jerk off, & wasn't nearly as good as the best I ever had the chance to play with or against. The dude was from Dulac & tried to pretend he was from New Orleans. The first time that guy ever laid eyes on New Orleans was when we played John Ehret. He was fast as greased lightning though.
