No. 15 Louisiana-Lafayette to meet No. 23 N.C. State at 4 p.m. on Friday at Tiger Park
LAFAYETTE – The 15th-ranked Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns softball team will begin NCAA Regionals action on Friday with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
The Ragin’ Cajuns (48-10), the No. 3 seed in NCAA Regional No. 15 being held at LSU’s Tiger Park in Baton Rouge, will meet No. 2 seed N.C. State (49-19) in the 4 p.m. contest on Friday, May 19.
UL is playing in an NCAA Regional in its home state for the first time since the 2002 season when the school hosted. UL returns to Baton Rouge for NCAA play for the first time since 2001.
Louisiana-Lafayette will be making its 16th NCAA Regionals appearance in the past 17 seasons and eighth straight since 1999. It's also the sixth NCAA Regionals appearance under co-head coaches Stefni and Michael Lotief.
Fans can purchase tickets for the NCAA Regional Tournament online at LSUsports.net. All-Session tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for youth under 12 years of age. The all-session tickets are good for every game of the regional tournament. Seat locations will be assigned at a later date in the order in which the tickets were purchased. All tickets must be picked up at will call with a valid ID beginning on Wednesday, May 17.
