    Greene was out of control

Spencer gave us all he could and had a hell of a game. We should have won but from what I remember Greene only played like 15 minutes cause of foul trouble

He is. Not every AAU coach is a butt, but many are and seem at times to be more interested in what's best for them...not the kids they coach...and surely not the colleges their kids are getting recruited by. I don't consider Dave in that group.

CajunRed I agree with you a lot. Many of these AAU coaches, and I am not talking Louisiana, are viewed to be a problem in college basketball. I do not know any of them, but where there is that much smoke there has to be some fire.

That game was the closest I've ever come to being kicked out of a game. Fun times.

I was there as well. We were hosed.

I remember taking particular exception to the Rice student section chanting "Tiger rejects!" at us. I let them know that wasn't ok. Then a security guard stood by me and my buddies for the rest of the game.

yeah, thanks. while he may not be a "butt" in your opinion, he certainly is no friend to the cajuns. i remember him saying on the air one day a few years back that, given his choice, he would steer his d1 players to the school just east of the basin. and i don't mean southern. just saying.

He is a huge LSU fan...but I have never known him to speak ill of the Cajuns or tell kids not to come here. He makes most of UL's home games.

I remember many years ago there was a team from Florida who was selected to play in the NIT post season. They complained all week in the press about being unfairly overlooked by the NCAA. That team came to Blackum and got beat by the Cajuns in the first round of the NIT. Still makes me smile.
