Waiting on what? You want a comment? Ok, they LOST to a team who did not win the tournament that means they were down at the third tier of the SBC at the end of the season. I will ask again how should this impress me? An "almost" triple double which translates to a loss against a team which I don't know is involved in post season play anywhere in no way inspires me to write or consider to write great things. We shall see tonight how inspired I am to heap praises on Superkid.
I'm not wanting to sound ugly, but it's not right to put someone in a pinch who will give an honest evaluation & say they can't be a fan or follow a program because they won't lie to themselves or the general public on an evaluation of a coach, team, or player. This is a standard which should lend credibility to my ravings about the future greatness of the UL football program. However, there are those on this site who will simply try to dismiss this as the guy may know football, but doesn't know crapola about basketball. Or worse yet, make it out to be the guy is just a bandwagon jumper that has no loyalty at all to anything & is just basing his thoughts on last year's accomplishments & the first sign of weakness by the football team he will cut & run accusing & cursing the administration & coaching staff the whole way out the door.
Will both bandwagon king and cajunhawk be in attendance?
Will all the duggies be there?
LOUISIANA - RICE
Eat it up, at the Cajun Dome.

Don't waste your time. He'll ignore if Payton plays well - which he did against Western Kentucky - but criticize him if he plays poorly. We shouldn't really care what he has to say on the matter.
Payton is far from a finished product but has the potential to be an all-conference player in Marlin's system due to his ability to create for himself and others and his length to disrupt opposing teams on the defensive end. He must improve as a shooter (.452% on FGs, .571% on free throws, 0-of-8 from 3) and taking care of the ball (93 assists to 92 turnovers), but he already has a solid mid-range game, impressive feel for the game and has improved as the season has progressed. He is averaging 7.2 points, 3.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game as a 17-year-old college freshman. Anyone ignoring his potential and the fact he has the tools to dominate in the Sun Belt doesn't know what they're talking about.
Has anybody ever gotten a quadruple double----points, rebounds, steals, and assists?????
I don't know. I would imagine it would be more likely with blocked shots.
