Wish you the best, Coach Trahan. You are a class guy that served our University well. Good luck in the future.
Link didn't work for me, but this one did.

Some thoughts of TAMU fans on his initial leaving. They indicate he is a small ball coach and it was not working well there. Robe knows we can't get gorilla ball players too often so he specializes in pitching, defense, and small ball. Now we have the new bats that make small ball all the more important. I am pretty excited.

He wasn't just a small ball coach. TAMU did bunt a lot, mainly because they had a great pitching staff and scoring early was big for them. He'd still be there if it hadn't been for the health issues in his family.
We'd better be really happy we got this guy. He has a terrific pedigree and great rep as a recruiter. Odds are we won't have him long, so let's enjoy this while we can.
I am extremely excited about this guy! Trahan was a great coach and I have no bad things to say about him whatsoever. But if we have to move on, I'm glad it's with a seasoned recruiting vet who recruited for Texas A&M and Arkansas. Are you kidding me? This is an outstanding move in the right direction. Trahan brought in some good athletes... but I believe Deggs will bring in the same level, if not better, caliber talent.
In my opinion, this is a blessing.
