Last season the SBC finished 15 behind 3 1-AA conferences including the Southland. We finished the 2001 season 12.76 points behind the WAC and 12.75 behind the MAC, now look the MAC is the same as last year (62.96) but we have gained and are only 3.31 behind them. The WAC has dropped from 62.97 in 2001 to 62.02 this year and we trail them by only 2.37 points. We have improved this year as a conference and it would serve all of us well for North Texas and/or New Mexico St to finish with winning records and one of them win the NO Bowl.
