Driven Darshawn

Raised by a single mother, Darshawn McClellan saw many of his peers fall victim to gangs, drugs and violence as he grew up in the central California city of Fresno.

“We didn’t live in the suburbs,” said McClellan’s mother, Lori Bohanna. “We were there in the middle of where things could have been pretty bad.”

That’s what makes McClellan’s story so inspiring.

Darshawn is a true class act. The world needs more people like him. Hope he can play at least one more game in a Cajun uniform. He'll be playing pro ball (in the states or overseas) somewhere next season, obvious by the fact he held North Texas forward Tony Mitchell in check offensively multiple times this season.
