    I agree.

The situation at the end of this year mirrors the situation at the end of last year.

    No buyout required either year.

For obvious reasons there was no announcement. The administration took the stance "No change, no announcement."

Here was the article about Scott Farmer stating he had a decision to make. THis was after the 4 year contract was up Decision Time

Three weeks later and 99 posts into the subject (after talking to Scott Farmer) VObserver stated. Rogers given 1 year contract

To be fari he lost his two best players and I hear he has a couple of nice recruits for next year, but it will be somebody the worry of someone else.
Football then men's basketball rather than baseball in order of cost and resources

To be a top notch program you are right we must pay more however, looking at it from a marginal analysis perspective, it doesn't matter what we pay - he is not the guy! Why not give someone young and unproven a chance? Someone that wants to do well and move on. We can not do worse. Rodgers reached his highest level of competency as an assistant. At this level he is not competent (Peter Principle) he can not do it therefore a change must be made. In short, our new coach and getting rid of Rodgers are unrelated - Rodgers has proven he must go - period. Now who is next is another and separate issue!

I am in total agreement about the non renewal. That floored me when it happened last year. I cannot fathom a reason for it except UL does not want to fire black coaches in basketball in one year and then the next. You might get another Baldwin type lawsuit. So they gave in another chance?

Tired of the black excuse... It does not matter if you white, black, purple, or green.. I you cant get it done, you cant get it done, NEXT!!! Hire Brodhead who is the Ascociate Head Coach at McNeese... No Non sense guy who is about his business. You wont see him break dancing at mid night madness when they make the announcment of the new coach...

I am making no excuse, just how can a man with such an horrible record get held overanother yeaar. So then one has to wonder about why. Maybe they did not have enough money to hire someone after paying Hud the big dollars. The big dollars paid off in attendance, but as of that time nothing.

So are you saying Broadhead would come for the current salary? Just wondering? Nobody could do much worse, and probably could do a lot better.

Just curious, perhaps Broadhead is the man but why not hire the current McNeese Head Coach whoever that is? Heck hire both of them that way when the McNeese coach leaves we can just hire his assistant like we should have done with Kelly.

Probably the most embarrassing moment of his tenure. And that says a lot
