KU scored 2 in the 2nd. Cajuns just put up a 3 spot in the top of the 3rd. Griffitt on the hill. Robe got tossed when the umps overturned a call. We were at bat and hit a fly ball, umps called it safe meaning he saw it hit the ground, then overturned it meaning I guess he didn't see it hit the ground, so a bad overturn.

The play was a fly ball down the right field line, about 30 feet into the outfield. The second baseman had the angle and attempted to make the play going to the ground. The first base umpire's view was partially obscured by the first baseman.

The first base umpire made a definitive "safe" call on the play. It was not until after the Kansas coach came out to argue the call that the first base umpire then called over the second base umpire to ask his opinion of the play. The first base umpire then signaled The batter was out . and then all hell broke loose.

You could hear Robe quite clearly from the first base seating. The ump must have made the mistake of telling Robe that Robe saw him make the catch. Robe was clearly saying "Don't you tell me what I saw. I saw the ball hit the ground.".

Robe getting fired up and getting tossed was certainly the catalyst in getting the team fired up and turning this game around. Robe received a standing ovation from the Cajun crowd.

They were 5-2 coming into the weekend but lost to UTSA last night. On paper, they're like us in that they have a relatively solid pitching staff and ok bats so farthis year. Doesn't look like near as many underclassmen playing.

Leonards with another RBI, Compton follows with another RBI. 6-2 still batting top 5th. T-Fred walks, Girouard with a single to drive in Compton. Still 1 out. 7-2 and on the corners. Strikeout and deep fly ball ends the inning.

This is a team that will most likely finish in the bottom third of the Big XII, quite possibly last place again.

Favorite win of the season for me. I am from Missouri and was raised to hate all things Kansas. Now I get to celebrate UL beating them along with Mizzou. Great day indeed.
