I would venture to say getting a seat at Lamson Park is going to get more difficult after our Lady Cajuns return home from California. We just beat the defending national champion 5th ranked Arizona State Sun Devils and are on our way to sweeping the Judi Garmin Classic Tournament. Besides I'll take a quality fan base over quantity any day. We have some very knowledgable fans that know the game, know when the girls need a little extra push and donate a lot of their time and money to the program. I've been to a lot of college ballparks and we have the best fans anywhere. It was a very big reason my daughter came to play for ULL. I will bet that we host regionals and possibly the super regionals. Tickets will be at a premium my brother. We win the College World Series and next season it will be a top ticket in town.
You get my point. Just because a team is successful doesn't mean there will be a ton of fan support. Some sports just don't have much fan support regardless if they are winning or losing.

Softball has plenty of support in Lafayette. I cannot understand why you keep bringing this arguement up, especially with the parent of a player. This program is a source of pride in Lafayette and has in fact helped the football team sign one of the most high profile QBs in the Houston area this year. What is the point of continually running it down?
I just don't get the point... this is a dumb thread that needs to be shut down.

Don't forget Lafayette, but -forget Lafayete- the Lady Cajuns are a source of pride in Acadiana.
