    Yep. He also coached here in the early Stokley years. Brian Mitchell years. He was a really good guy from what I remember.

  5. UL Football Bill Sampy signs thre year contract with Eagles


      PHILADELPHIA -- Minicamp doesn't open for another four months, but the Eagles moved quickly to begin assembling their roster.

    ... wide receivers Michael Gasperson and Bill Sampy, and fullback Jason Davis were all signed to contracts on Wednesday. The Eagles also released defensive tackle Ian Scott, who had spent the season on injured reserve.

    Clark, Fontenot, Gasperson and Sampy each received three-year deals...

    Sampy missed almost all of training camp with a quad contusion, which took him out of the running for a roster spot. The Eagles believe he can help on punt returns, where they struggled again this season.
