i don't look at it a only six people in the pros what i said was there is too big a gap of between jake and brandon, and tillman and taylor. which during this gap we were the worst program in the country. call it frame of mind if you want but we sucked for ten fricken years and i was there during that. So don't tell me as long as we think we are good we will be b/c every year for ten years was our year to turn it around! And as to your small business comment thank you for making my point for me. We are the smaller business right now that is growing to be larger!

The gap was 4 years. jake 97, brandon 98' clement 98, taylor-tillman 03, stamps 04, cc 05, sampy 06.


And we are not a small program. msu, nsu, slu, they are all "small programs". Over 300 teams are 1-A basketball/baseball and of those on 107 or so are I-A football. Give me a break.

You seem to forget in the late 60's we were in the "small college" division. After that time we moved up and then in the 80's the rest of our so called equals (listed above) were scared to navigate the 1-A waters. We were not and our enrollment has continued to grow and so has our community support. Even in 1989 Northeast won the 1-AA National Championship and the Cajuns beat them in Monroe.

Undrafted rookie receiver Bill Sampy has had a very good preseason and should wind up on the practice squad. Same with Cole and defensive tackle LaJuan Ramsey. The source of the story
