OK the Wednesday night game I was thinking about was 12/3/2008 vs Middle Tennessee at The Swamp.

Yes. I went down to Gainesville with wife, daughter, & parents. I remember it was raining prior to the game. We had to buy and wear some ugly orange & blue ponchos to get to the stadium. Luckily because of where I live, I had no problem getting rid of them

I was thinking of a UL-UNT Wednesnight game that started at 9pm. It may have been Thursnight.

They had a great RB and a really short D-Lineman thet coul go under the O-Line and get to Jerry Babb.

My memory may be off on all counts

Patrick Cobbs killed us that night, he scored 3 TD's.

I rode with J1M from Baton Rouge to the game, and lived to talk about it.
This game was supposedly move to Wednesday night for national TV, but ended up only on ESPN regional.
Almost no one came to the game as we became bowl eligible yet again under Bustle.

That about sum up the night?

We must be getting old because I would have bet anything it was a Wednesday night game too. Took one of my daughters with me and let her miss school the next day or so I thought.

I really like being on national television, but I don't like it for mid week games. If it's on the road, no big deal, but we'll loose a lot of $ at the gate, our stadium will not be full, and our average attendance numbers will suffer. I don't think we'll meet Hud's challenge to meet the 35,000 average because of this game. I know it sounds cool to be on TV, but when you consider all of the plusses and minuses, I just don't think it works in our favor. OK, that's my 2 cents.

If you get 25,000 for that Tuesday game you need to average 37,000 for the other five games to get to 35,000. If you get 30,000 for the weekday game you need to average 36,000 for the other five. I find the 35,000 average doable, especially if you can win the 6 games before the Tuesday game at Cajun Field, which includes a win in Stillwater.
