Muffed punt on first series, I should know and Dwight fumbled on the second series, not Chester Johnson, but it was a Friday night
I guess your memory is better than mine

#1 - That was when I joined RP. I was so pumped for that game, I finally signed up, about a week before.
#2 - I could have sworn that was a Thursday. Wrong again.
As each of us consider this Tuesday night game, we tend to apply our own situations. Those of us that keep up with information on this board are the rabid fans and we will restructure our lives to go to the games whenever they are. But I can tell you that is not the case for everyone in my (big) family, the people that I work with, and the general public. Their commitment levels are not the same as ours. Tuesday is a work day and a school day. Everyone cannot take the day off. Kids have school the next day and believe it or not many parents still make sure the kids do their homework and get to bed on time so that they can get off to school early in the morning. Many parents will have to arrange for babysitters if they want to go to the game. For many, it's just a lot easier to watch the game on TV. It's going to be a much bigger challenge than people think to fill the stadium. There is no changing it now, so I hope every effort will be made to promote this game early on because there is nothing worse than being on national television with a half empty stadium. But then again, we've never had a coach like Hud before.
What will suck is if the game kicks off at 8pm or later.
Like most of us, I am VERY excited about being on ESPN again.
However, I will make an observation that I don't think anyone has made yet.
-Even though this won't be a major shock since it is a Tuesday night game showing two Sun Belt teams, ratings are going to be crappy. This all could depend on when the MLB schedules the postseason dates. There is a chance that the World Series will begin around that time.
-As much as we want a great showing from EVERYONE, certain groups have certain effects. If you take the money standpoint, you want more people from the public for higher ticket sales. If you take the attendance or "lets look great on TV" standpoint, we need the STUDENTS to make a huge impact. Think of which area the camera will be shooting towards; THE STUDENT SIDE!
-Building more on the student impact, Tuesday = weekday = night-classes
I hope EVERYONE can make a great impact and can't wait for the season to begin!
