Tuesday night is just a weird night to attend, much less watch a football game. I don't like it. I would be OK if it was just the North Texas game but now we have to burn a home Saturday to be on TV. It's also going to dent our attendance numbers that day. North Texas won't pull anyone into their stadium...but we do.

With that said anything less than 7 wins is a massive disappointment. How soon can I make my hotel reservations in New Orleans?

I'd agree with you if we weren't playing Arkansas State that game. I still see a packed house coming in. All that we'll miss out on is some tailgating time, but I want to be stone-cold sober to enjoy the wonderful retribution that we will lay on stAte that day.

That's a good schedule for us! Even with the mid week games, we end up with a lot of rest before and a long break after to get ready for the stretch run. Both money games are against teams in at least some level of rebuilding. The strong conference teams come here. Tulane gets to get a beating. A lot to like!

Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns had unprecedented success on the football field in 2011.

They’re being rewarded for that performance in 2012.

The Cajuns will be on national television twice in the 2012 football season on back-to back weeks.

Louisiana will visit North Texas on October 16 or 17 and host Arkansas State on October 23 or 24.

Those are the only two games scheduled for ESPN/ESPN2 that are Sun Belt Conference games. The league will also have five appearances on ESPNU.

The Cajuns open the 2012 season at Cajun Field in the annual Herbert Heymann Football Classic on September 1.

The Cajuns will also host Tulane, Arkansas State, FIU, Western Kentucky and league football newcomer South Alabama at Cajun Field. The Cajuns will not play Middle Tennessee this year.

Love the schedule!!!! 7+ wins is VERY doable with this schedule. "wait 'til next year" takes on a whole new meaning now!!!

Ratings are secondary to telling recruits that you play on national TV.

Just an FYI and not sure if it could still change, but the press release from RaginCajuns.com has both midweek games on Tuesday.
