Maybe Barksdale and Turner won't be back next year!!! With how big of a recruiting class we signed a lot of the guys won't be back so lets wait and see who is asked to return before we figure this out.

I hope that Barksdale, Turner, Mouton, James are apart of our team next season...I really think these players showed their value towards the end of the season. If not starters, maybe all in a supporting role!

I am not so sure I want to see Turner back, as he was very inconsistant, made many "Turnovers" in fact "Turnover" was my nickname for him. He also seemed to not be the prototypical TEAM player either.

Daddy Cajun Turner is a decent player, is it a personal problem you have with him. Maybe he is hard headed or something. I don't know this guy that well to be saying that, but daddycajun seems to really dislike Turner

I do not dislike him as a person as I don't know him personally. I have a problem with his TURNOVERS, as his nickname from me is Turnover! If he is able to pass the ball better, receive it better, shoot it less selfishly, I would like to see him playing again. He is an athletic person and a tallent, but you have to be able to HOLD ON to the BALL to be all that to the TEAM!

Illtellu,DaddyCajun did state that he will back coach Lee's decision on what athletes will be on his squad.It is probably best that people associated with the program not read fan boards because of the nature of fans comments.Having said that,Turner is a kid that needs to follow team rules and direction from his coaches.What DaddyCajun stated is close to the truth as per some opinions involved with the program.

Turner should come back next year although I am not trying to slam anybody's opinion. I agree totally, Turner does need to follow the coaches advice more often, but he is still learning as they all are.

I am still talking the same way. I meant we are still learning. I think the new recruits are great. If they come in wanting to learn and get better. I hope most of the basketball team stays because they will bring experience, chemistry, and leadership. That was part of the problem with last years team they never got a good chemistry together, or a good feel for one another, They weren't a team long enough. It was more than enough talent.

I agree with you Mr. "Illtellu" 100%! I don't think it would wise to destroy the nucleus of our basketball team. If it does occur...we could once again be looking at season loaded with revolving doors of faltered expectations! A team full of talent and potential but void of chemistry and continuity! As far as Ed Turner turning over the ball...To me...no player done that better than D. Mitchell! However everyone loved him in despite of his poor ball handling skills! (I loved him too...aka Mr. Dunk You Very Much! ) Take away what ever negative personal problems that Ed Turner displayed last season...and we hear nothing bad about this kid! Hell...I'll go as far as to state that Ed Turner is the most talented player returning on the Cajuns squad...and to get rid of this kid would be down right STUPID! Strictly IMO of course!

It is pretty obvious that a lot of last years team will not be back this season. We have signed 8 guys so far and from what I have heard they are still looking. So maybe 1 or 2 will be back from last season but which 2 will it be. I don't think it would be wise to bring Turner back because of the off the court trouble he gave coach Lee but whatever Coach decides is right for the team I will go with.
Hopefully if he does come back Turner will be a better player on and off the court. But I will tell you this I am very excited about coach going out and signing some of the best players in Louisiana and when you add in the potential of Dees and Cooke, this group can be very good once they gel.
