Brad, we need you out there to teach them boys how to shoot.
Im for hire for sure...
Next year im showing up with a Brad for shooting coach sign.
Halfway through this year we could tell JJ didn't have his heart in it. I was counting on Raymone stepping up to become a leader next year but oh well. Im glad Marlin put his foot down, id rather have less talent and more heart than a bunch of whiny pre-madonnas.
This reminds me of the old saying
hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work
good friend of mine Coach Fondal at Anderson Middle says that all the time... I love that quote, which is so true
What bothers me the most is how the fans loved Raymone when he was shutting down Stafford from Denver, shooting lights out against ASU, knocking sown pressure free throws at NTx. Raymone played hurt on the Arkansas road trip determined to win. Raymone has never given up on his team. He may not play well enough for some but he never quits. Whether he was thinking of leaving or going to play his Sr. Year he is not disrespectful to any fan. Incase no one was listening when they announced the honor athletes he was one of them with a.3.0. He and Marlin have had differences. This is a lose lose situation that should have been avoided by both of them.
From what I've heard, it's not that far fetched.
At first I saw this as a bad thing but it's looking more and more like a blessing in disguise cause it seems like we've gotten rid of players that weren't on the same page with the coaching staff and fellow teammates. And that caused the other players to get upset. Suspending these guys will hopefully allow the other veterans on the team to take leadership and give this team an identity. Watching Mone on the court was a pleasure. The guy gave 110% all game. I love that. Unfortunately playing hard in games alone is not enough. You have to have the right attitude off the court as well. I don't know first hand if he has had the right attitude or not but it's looking more and more like he hasn't shown it. As for JJ, I really have no comment.
