I am not sure why your comments are what they are and I am not knocking ----BUT---remember that # one he could be protecting the kid from an intra university problem or an outside off campus problem, Could be that the kid was on probation from a previous suspension and his actions triggered an automatic second suspension for a less serious action, could be the kid refused to do a coaches command----------I was suspended from my scholarship and had to pay out of pocket to get back on the team---a very good thing for me----This happens all the time and if it works out well, all will be fine and hey suppose coach gets fired---that is his choice---ball always in his court until he is gone---I surely hope all goes well!!!! WWKD----What would Knight Do---LOL!!!!

I think you're a little too close to the situation. No one is happy about this. I know for a fact that Raymone is a favorite in the student section. We're just not going to cut off Marlin's head without knowing everything that happened.

I raised three kids, all UL graduates, who I love more than anything. I would like to believe their point of view in all things in life, BUT there are always two sides to EVERY situation. Just sayin..

I can promise you that after everything comes out, if it is found that Coach Marlin suspended RA with NO justification, the Cajun Nation will NOT be pleased with Coach. It is just that most people assume that the coach will not normally suspend a player without some sort of justification (whether or not it is warranted). That is giving the coach the benefit of the doubt. That is typically how things work. If we always give the players the benefit of the doubt, what does that say about the coach's authority? Now if the coach abuses that authority, then he deserves to be sent packing. Right now, it is too early to know what has happened. Thus we are in the "support the coach" phase. That can change if the facts come out to cause a change. It remains to be seen which way this will go.
