BREAKING NEWS: Ragin' Cajuns Athletics has announced that Coach Bob Marlin has suspended J.J. Thomas and Raymone Andrews from the team indefinitely. The two will not make the trip with the team to Hot Springs for the Sun Belt Conference Tournament. Marlin would not comment further on the matter.

LAFAYETTE – University of Louisiana head men’s basketball coach Bob Marlin announced on Tuesday that junior guard Raymone Andrews and sophomore forward J.J. Thomas have been suspended indefinitely from the Ragin’ Cajuns men’s basketball team.

The pair was suspended for conduct detrimental to the team and they will not accompany the Ragin’ Cajuns to Hot Springs, Ark., for the 2012 Sun Belt Conference Tournament.

Coach Marlin and the athletics department will have no further comment on the matter.

For some reason, this does not surprise me. I dont have any info on it, just a gut feeling. Marlin wasnt in the most cheerful mood when talking about team chemistry last night on his radio show.

I am not surprised to learn that there are some issues within the team after witnessing that lackluster performance Saturday night against ULM!

I am not surprised either. I was sitting right behind the Cajuns bench and watched JJ quite a bit. He seemed amused by his uniform mistake and disinterested for all of the 2nd half. Not only does this team have chemistry and talent issues...it now seem it also has maturity issues.

Hopefully Marlin starts a zero tolerance rule with all that mess. If he can get us above .500 with attitude problems, we might as well cut out the attitude. You can almost make an ESPN 30 for 30 on JJ. "What if I told you..."

That's ashame, but I had a feeling something was wrong back when "pancake" reversed his committment.
