Common sense would dictate that without their presence the team will perform at a higher level & win at least one game in the tournament. If they go out & lay an egg, get blown out, & come home one & done, then it would be just as fair to say Coach marlin's decision making with his own guys is detrimental to the team. I say let the next game (or two?) be a deciding factor.

Their "conduct" was detrimental to the team. He didn't say "they" are detrimental to the team. Your conclusion implies the latter. I'm pretty certain Marlin wishes all of our player's conduct was in line with his expectations and everyone was available to play in the tournament.

Ok, then let him play the last minute of the game & keep him on the sideline the rest of the time. Dude, you got me hating on a kid I don't hate & I hate using the term kid, but I don't mind in this case because he is just that. I don't think this team envisioned themselves having to sit around & wait for the coach to develop wonderboy, while the betterment of the team suffers because of it. You can justify that if you want, but if you lose the team you now have & future recruits because you fall in love with one player Are you doing the team justice or are you being detrimental to the team? I don't think this is an unfair question & anyone who does is not being reasonable or realistic.

He's also got twice as many turnovers & twice as many rebounds & makes 55 per cent of his free throws. The job he's best suited for isn't a guard.

Josh Brown led the team in rebounds. I guess that idiot Marlin had him playing out of position too.
