You know something if you can't support a coach this early on why even have a coach. Let the players run the program and save the money on the coach. Let's see how many people show up for the game. You might as well put tractor pulls in the Cajundome.
Can it dude. He ran off two early on last year & nobody even uttered a peep. This is the second time in two years & one of them is his own ball of mush. Three times is gonna be a damn habbit & not a good one either. The biggest part of recruiting is selling your program. Who in the hell you gonna sell it to, if you're always running people off.
No one made a big deal about it last year because Batiste and Wallace weren't good.
Fear the beard was not on senior night. It was the 2nd to last game of the season on a Sat. night against WKU. Senior night was the following Thursday against Denver.
That's all well & fine. But you have to get players to win. Evidently Marlin thought enough of the Thomas name to want two of them at one time. Now we can argue about right & wrong & who's what for a while & everybody it seems will pretty much stick to their opinion. But the bottom line is, no matter who you are, no matter how great you coach, if you can't tell during the recruiting process whether you can work with young men, or keep them under your wing, & have to continually run them off, then it doesn't shine well for your program.
Before anyone throws football in my face. It's a totally different game. That's why they issue 25 schollies per year. Everybody suffers a lot of attrition.
