I personally think Matte Haack got screwed from player of the week

8 for 19 (.421) with 9 RBI, 8 runs, 3 doubles and 1 triple in 5 games against solid competition

A Troy player won POW for

9 of 16 (.562) with 4 RBI, 5 runs, 2 HR, 2 doubles and 1 triple in 5 games against some donkey teams and Purdue who beat them 10-4

Sure those are good numbers but if you hit 2 HRs and manage to only get 4 RBI in 5 games against Ball State, East Tennessee State, Cleveland State and Tennessee Tech I'm not impressed

The vote is by each school's softball SID. That being said, they get sick of voting for the Cajuns.

Congrats Ashley! SURPRISE!!! Not bad for someone that was not even selected to the preseason all conference team. I guess whoever votes for such things has a short memory as she was conference pitcher of the year last year.
