That doesn't seem to be the case though which leaves room for improvement. I'm a fan of saying I told you so though so please return to this forum after we get a few more games under our belt and I'd be happy to do so.
Try the Diamond Club meeting. They have them almost every Tuesday, and the minimum membership fee is $50. They are held at the Petroleum club in the Lafayette Oil Center, so you can also get a great meal. Tony is there every week with the insiders view of the team, so you can ask him directly.

Also to be fair, we have no clue what goes on at practice or behind closed doors. If someone is lazy at practice, has attitude problems, or not getting it done in the classroom,....that may be a reason for the short leash. And visa versa, the kid that takes the leadership role, hustles and does everything beyond the required minimum may work himself into the coaches corner and get the benefit of the doubt.

Other wise after a sweep 7 games into the season its a strange time to bring this up...
Slappy, this was brought up numerous times this weekend by the 15 to 20 people I sit around. (and i have no idea who ragincajun#1 is) I think at one point, dollar bills were even being passed around and wagered to see if his strikeout percentage would be above or below .500 after the AB.

Although he has always had speed, his initial break on the ball has usually not been that great and has misplayed a few in his time. He even seemed to get caught a few times not paying attention.

Hopefully, he is beyond that now because it would be nice to have him as yet another option.
Hence the clause "As long as he keeps producing". I agree that his breaks in the outfield have looked questionable in the past. But I also saw him run one down yesterday that was pretty impressive. I also see him every fall look like one of the best hitters on the team.....but I have no clue where that goes come spring. All I know is that he roped some lasers this weekend and he squibbed a few and got on with his speed. So I reiterate...IF he keeps producing like he has, he is a weapon I did not count on when the season started. Pleasant surprise.

I think a couple more weeks into the season Coach will have a better feel of knowing where to move players in the batting order. Coach is a really smart guy. Im sure theres a method to the madness!

Agree totally. Before anyone might conclude otherwise, I'd love to see Bowman succeed. Seems like a real decent young man.

If Bowman does what we thought he was capable of over the past few years he definitely belongs.

Bowman's error in tonight's game against Alcorn on a routine ball to center is a result of how he plays outfield. He just doesn't always pay attention. Very disappointing.

Must be a player who is not playing and thinks he should be

Read post #24, especially the first sentence.

Well scoring more can always be helpful, but the problem we have had in most of our loses was poor decision making, not scoring. We scored enough to beat SLU, and the California team, did not see or review the Texas team.

Last night Alcorn State refuse to let us throw the game to them, they absolutely refused walking, and wild pitching runs in.

I wonder if he's happy cause Strentz got the night off last night and Compton batted 3rd.
