I drove in from Baton Rouge today for the baseball/basketball double header. I had a great time at the baseball game. The basketball game against ULM left a bad taste in my mouth for the day.
I still had a great day though. I got to see my Cajuns in person.
Man that's 2-1/2 hours of my life I'd like to have back.
If I didn't have a dog in this hunt it would have been funny. It had to be the ugliest basketball game I've ever seen. It looked like UL was going to blow out the Hoax in the first 10 minutes but then our shooting went cold and the Hoax clawed their way back. Than after halftime it was all Hoax. It seemed like everything they threw up was all net. They made it look effortless. And we put up bricks. UL could not make a free throw, jump shot, lay up, three pointer...nothing. It was embarrassing. Hats off to the Hoax players. They could have easily hung it up and just tried to get the season over with but they kept scratching and then got hot and ran away with this one.
I drove in from Houston to see this....man this left a mark
Good loss for us. Was not at the game but I listened... When a team goes ice cold and the other shoots 68% in the second half, a bad team will beat a good team. We have a good team and will continue to get better... Might be gut check time for some, gut time check usually brings the best out of players, look forward to SBC tourney... NCAA BIRTH, 3 and IN
Thanks Z....wife and I plan on coming in for some baseball and softball games....see you guys down the road
That's the case for a team who has played well for an extended time. Two games ago we were blasted out of Denver by 25. That should have been a spark. If we need a spark every other game we are in serious trouble!
go play a basketball game in DENVER, it is extremely hard to do, if you are not use to it
If I wouldn't have been at the game, looking at the way we played, I would have thought Robert Lee was coaching the team. Definitely the worst game we have played in a while. Gotta give ULM credit for shooting 70% in the second half, but where was the defense we have showed all season? And why did JJ only play a couple of minutes in the first half & rode the pine the entire second half?
Before the season started, I thought we could win 22 regular season games. After tonight, I am truly disappointed. If we play like this in the tourney, it will be a short visit in Hot Spring. Hopefully Marlin puts a foot up their butts and we go out and win the tourney.
