How many damn times will we strike out with 1 out and a runner on 3rd?

Score? Is It over?
Final. Errors put the kibosh on the Cajuns again. 1-3 not a good way to start. We should at least be .500.
According to stat tracker, yes.
6-5 final. Left tying runner on 3rd after strikeout and ground out
I hope we're not chasing .500 most of the season
Very few teams are going to let you hang around after you've made multiple errors. Straddling the .500 mark seems like a reality unless we can get these guys to stop throwing the game away. Literally.
Again, knowing it's really early in the season, I can't help but be alarmed. D-1 baseball players aren't supposed to be making these kinds of mistakes. Even so, aren't they 2 or 3 innings away from being undefeated? I'll reserve judgment for a while, but the early results are not encouraging.
It was a mid-week game that no one cares about. We threw our 5th starter and Southeastern had to throw their ace to beat us.
While I don't want to judge this team to quickly, it's frustrating to be in this situation with so many kids being freshmen, sophmores having to carry the load. Someone 3 or 4 years ago didn't do there homework. But it is what it is. I know that we had a bunch of misses on recruits when schefz was here, and trahan is doing a much better job. It's is somewhat of a transition still, and it's frustrating. These past 2 classes have been an upgrade in talent in my eyes, but u can not depend on freshmen to carry a team. It's different when u can bring a freshmen up and let him play with a supporting cast and let that kid grow. The situation at hand is one that they are being asked to contribute right away. It takes a les smith type of kid to do that, and those don't come around very often at a mid major. Some of these kids should be redshirted so they could develop without loosing a year. Will this make us better in the future...I'm sure it will. However, it should be different in so many ways.Regardless u got to make routine plays in order to win, freshmen up to seniors. Period.
