CJR, kind of off topic, but you really need to let Mr. Thompson know that it's time to step up in regards to the RCAF. The rest of us can't keep supporting him.

If he's at the office tomorrow, I'll get on him.

I think back in those years we had a bunch of transfers, you not gonna see alot of that anymore with the transfer rule.Kinda different than recruiting, but Sim had a pipeline in the state because of his connections with summer ball. in those years if you looked at the list of guys that we got to come here as walk ons, that was crazy....

If I am not mistaken, they have not been in a regional since 1997.

Here are the goals I think our baseball program should be shooting for (not expectations):
    Regional - 3 out every 5 years
Super Regional – 1 out every 5 years
College World Series – 1 out of every 10 Years

Does anyone think these goals are too high for our program?

Or they could simply set a goal like our softball team and that is to go to the CWS every year. Why not? It is not always achievable, but if it doesn't happen, it comes awfully close every year and softball has been something like 8 times already. Look out for this year. Why shouldn't we expect that from our baseball team? Is it harder to achieve in baseball than in softball? Maybe harder to win our conference, but once you are in a regional, you are in whether you are conference champ or not. You can't get to the CWS without first getting into a regional. So every year, getting into a regional should be our primary goal as conference champs or otherwise. JMO.

I would call that a success but I agree with HoustonCajun. We should shoot for the CWS every year.

But I get what you mean. If we did that over the next 10 years I would be very happy.

Correction...reporting from Hammond...their last regional was in 1994. For those who envy their program, that's 17 years!!

Hey Slappy, I went ahead and told #29 Baylor that, and guess what? They beat Tx St today 5-1. Just messing with ya!
