I think you may be seeing this from a football perspective. Baseball has a lot more parity. Also, we are very young but loaded with talent. We are going to go through some rough spots before we really see what this team can do. There's loads of baseball left, and the reality is Tx State is respected. It wasn't "an upset". That said... everyone needs to keep it on a cooler plane. We need to save those names for the trolls... not each other.
Oh, ok. Let's see how they (TX ST) play against Baylor Wednesday. I never said anything about the season. I just made a reply that I did not like losing to TX ST and some people think it's a great thing to lose to the mighty TX ST. I happen to expect more than they do and want more from my Ragin Cajun Teams. I don't always have to be in the mode of accepting defeat, and maybe some people here shouldn't be reading forums and getting their feelings hurt.
Seems that S'Eastern has a fairly good program based on their kicking our butt for the last couple of years!!!
All I was trying to say is that losing to Texas St. isn't a terrible loss. Of course I wanted to win, so did everybody, and I'm ____ed we lost. But you're initial reaction made it seem like you didn't think Texas St. was a good program capable of beating people. Look at the scores of their games last year. They almost one 50 games and played every BCS school close.
Should we beat Texas St. more than we lose to them sure. But using your logic, LSU should never lose to us.
I'll just add that they will more than likely be Sun Belt mates in a couple years. And they will improve our conference in baseball if they join.
As some have noted the perspective is skewed. Those that follow baseball have a lot of respect for the Southland conference. Last years confernece pseduo RPI's had the SBC 6th and the Southland 8th. Not bad considering there are thirty two conferences playing Div 1 baseball.
