According to Rutgers official website and Ohio's website they are dropping their 9/16 game with us in favor of a 1 game visit with no return trip to Rutgers.

Somebody better call Northwestern St.Originally Posted by Clutch0364

How can they drop it that late?
I guess things like that happen when you do not have a full-time athletic director.Originally Posted by UL_Cajuns
Why don't we call Buffalo. That's who rutgers dropped to play Ohio. I'd Prefer it if we could keep an all Division 1-A schedule this year. Although buffalo is the bottom of the MAC and probably not as good as NWST or Mcneese, it's a better win for the program. Lord knows the Sunbelt needs all the D-1 non conference wins possible and this could be one.
I would definetly rather get another D-1 team, just kidding around. I mean come on would it really be the Herbert Heyman Classic without the demons!Originally Posted by Jacob
As long as we get someone to come here I don't care which D-1a team it is. If we can't get anyone to come here well schedule Northwestern or McNeese
That's news to me?. Mr. David Walker is certainly working full-time as athletic director.Originally Posted by cajun tom
And even if he wasn't, there's nothing that can be done to stop a team from dropping you from their schedule if they get a better offer.
I've often wondered what it would be like for Southern to make a trip to the swamp. I think they would bring more fans than Northwestern and maybe more than McNeese.Originally Posted by Clutch0364
I am so glad someone else shares my same thought about that. They avarage over 20 thousand at their home games so I would expect them to bring a good group but I don't think the admistration would look at Southern as an opponent. That's why i said northwestern and McNeeseOriginally Posted by Hatch
I wonder if by their choosing to drop, do they have to pay a fee(?) to UL?Originally Posted by CDeb

Southern backed out prior to signing a contract to come to Cajun Field a few years ago! And McNeese backed out was it last year? Northwestern, we just need someone new, I really liked their band, awesome!Originally Posted by Clutch0364
