Thread: Tracking the Preaux Career of UL's Dwayne Mitchell

I was in Nashville that night, it was a 4-13 matchup. Louisville should have been no lower than a 2 seed and they did make the final 4. To this day I still think the refs had an agenda that night, there were some pretty bad calls. Down the strectch the P.A. system even started playing a loud heart beat thump thump sound effect when the cajuns were at the foul line. Not only did they not do that for Louisville but also not in any of the other 3 games that day (i was there for all 4)

The downtown Nashville area and that arena desperatley needed the revenue provided by the thousands of Louisville fans that were there from close by because they were suffering through the hockey strike that year. There were tons of fans that showed up to party that didn't even have tickets, we were offered $300 for $50 face value tickets before the game. There would have been alot of people in Nashville that would have lost out on alot of money that weekend if the cajuns would have won and sent those fans home 2 days early.

Im not a big conspiracy theorist, but something wasn't right that evening.... We had a great crowd there. The Louisville fans looked a bit perplexed when we were chanting, UL, UL, UL!!!!

March 05...I think that trip might have been the last time I purchased gasoline for under 2 bucks a gallon???

ps I do remember Pitino was p*ssed that they had drawn us in the first round.....

I'm with you Big Buds, that game still boils my blood, my friend actually kicked out one of our other friends for saying we didn't have a chance prior to tip off. I've never felt more dejected after a game. I never really thought about the conspiracy thing, of course i've never watched the game again. Not blaming O. Green for the game, he was one of my favorite players, but all i remember was his out of control drives to the lane and getting called for charges everytime. Heartbreaking.

The Memphis Grizzlies’ much-celebrated rookie had just been embarrassed by a D-Leaguer.

Isn't that the year we had to give up our Sun Belt title? What would have happened if we would have beaten Louisville. I was as disappointed as the next person that we lost that game, but I would have been more disappointed if we would have gotten further and had to take those games out of the record books.

"Had to" is not the right language (imo)

The correct term would be "offered to" without putting up a defense, and of course they accepted.
