Option 1
Option 2
Option 3
I spoke to a current band member the other night at the bb game. The band's favorite was #1. Hmmmmmm
I don't have a big problem with #1... despite the overwhelming black. In reality, you can't criticize the band members for voting for #1. Blame should be directed toward the person in charge that allowed that as a choice. I guarantee you that had a psychedelic uniform been part of the choices... it would have been the band favorite.
The color guard pretty much uses every color flag (except for our school colors)... and I'm not sure what the hat looks like that goes with this uniform... so... who really knows what this will all look like on the field.
Regardless... it isn't the biggest issue right now. I could live with either #1 or #2 as the band's choice... and moved comfortably on to the next great crisis on this forum.
It happens. Tennessee school colors are orange and white, but their band unis are black with orange and white trim. Not bad looking, like our black football unis that just about every school has gone to. Since this apparently a done deal, let's focus on having UL somewhere on the uniform and not just the Fleur de Lis AND drop the Acadiana and go to the Pride of Louisiana, the actual name of our university.
The old uniforms had no white at all. They were red and black so this is an improvement with more white. While the white looks sharp it is the devil to keep clean and after a while it starts to yellow and show it's age. While 1 was not my favorite it's OK. Just glad it wasn't 3.
That's right, I forgot about that. Also we don't know what the back of the uniform looks like. It could be a mirror image or reverse mirror image. Either way, if they do a maneuver that involves the entire band turning around at the same time the visual affect is pretty neat.
