Microsoft To Air Its First Super Bowl Ad Tomorrow, Showcasing How Surface Empowers People
Microsoft is going to run its first Super Bowl ad on Sunday during Seahawks vs Broncos NFL match. I was surprised to know that Microsoft has never took part in the famous Super Bowl marketing ads. This time, Microsoft is going to show an ad for Surface Pro device and how it is empowering people with disabilities. Former football player Steve Gleason uses Microsoft Surface to communicate and inspire others diagnosed with ALS. Watch the video above to know more. Another ad might be just focused on Microsoft branding that it empowers people. Five year old Braylon O’Neill was born missing the tibia and fibula bones in both of his legs. Now, he’s making strides, pushing limits, and playing sports because of Microsoft technology. It is good to see that Microsoft is taking efforts to remind people that they are still a key player in the technology world. Recently, Apple did a commercial for its iPad showing how people are using it in different ways, how it is helping people.

That was one of the better commercials of the night. It wasn't a total cop out heart strings tugger just to sell crappy items, it displayed what today's technology can do.even though it's Microsoft and prolly needs patches to work right on a daily basis.

Former NFL Player Steve Gleason Who Starred In The Surface Pro Commercial Joins Microsoft Hacka
Microsoft’s last year Super bowl commercial celebrated what technology can do, as told by Steve Gleason, a former pro football player who is living with ALS. He uses a Surface Pro running Tobii’s eye gazer technology to speak, and do many other kind of activities. He is visiting Microsoft’s campus this week for attending the hackathon. A team is working on a solution that would allow people like Gleason to turn their Surface On/Off using the eye gaze. As powerful as the Surface Pro 3 is, Gleason knows it can be even more accessible. Since the Super Bowl, he has sent Microsoft a list of proposed improvements, including better predictive typing software and larger fonts. His ideas reflect the spirit of this week’s company-wide hackathon, when our employees team up to challenge, adapt and improve our products and services with more than 2,000 suggested hacks.
