Default Ranking the Sunbelt FB Coaches

Found this on the UNT board. Hope the link works. (updated)

Some interesting thoughts. They have RB as the "most overrated coach". I don't know about that; but I think most of us can agree that until the late season run last year many of us were getting a little impatient
But, I think the program has finally turned the corner and we should be seeing steady positive results now.

This is so COOL Re: Ranking the Sunbelt FB Coaches

I follow the College Football the News website almost daily. It's a lot of fun and good for a football fix when I need one.

However, it is almost always wrong about the Cajuns. They picked us to lose to Monroe and just about everyone else.

The site also says that we should have been in the New Orleans bowl and have us by far the 2006 Sun Belt champions.

Coach Bustle has taken the worse team in D-1 and made us respectable. We now have depth and confidence because of him.

I cannot think of any other coach who come come to UL (for the pay he gets.. I think it last in the SBC). He has worked an amazing job by getting us to where we are now.

Does anyone really think our football team is not better now than 4 years ago. We used to have VanCleeve. Now we have four, count them, four outstanding QBs. Our offensive line is just as good.

Check out how long it took Beamer to make the Hokies respectable. You'll like the pattern.

Just believe and enjoy this upcoming season.

This is definitely what I'd call a "for entertainment purposes only" column. I'm certainly happy where the program is today, and excited about where it can be tomorrow. Now, we need to fill the house and provide a REAL home field advantage for the team. Looking forward to getting my season ticket renewel in, and hopefully make most of the games.

well if his pay is last in the sunbelt,we better have a plan for after a few winning seasons when the bigger money comes calling. I like coach bustle and i think he is good for the community but you can't blame a man for bettering himself and his family if that option may arrive. As far as Bustle being the most overrated, how can that be true when he has brought us what we have been waiting for with the injury of his starting QB and RB, well this season we win it all alone I geuss we will see how over rated he is.

Bustle’s Ragin’ Cajun career appeared to be in jeopardy before his kids tossed him a life vest with a five-game, season-ending winning streak against teams that all finished below .500.
Ummmm…where did they get the idea that Bustle’s job was on the line? With the exception of the “vermillion and white haters” 95% of the community think Bustle is doing a good job. I love when someone tries to make a controversy where there isn’t one.

This reminds me of what a Tiger hater would do to the guys in Baton Rouge, or what a Ragin Cajun hater in Baton Rouge would say about us. It’s all so childish! They just need to report the news the way the facts present it, of course then nobody would read it!

" Bucking for a Promotion – Steve Roberts, Arkansas State – It took four sometimes frustrating seasons, but Roberts finally delivered on expectations, and his stock has never been higher. In 2005, he took a young team to an unexpected share of the Sun Belt title and the school’s first bowl game in 35 years. Another league championship could be enough to propel Roberts into a mid-major school, say, in Conference USA."

Nice, eh? Moving up to a mid-major: C-USA! While I agree that that is probably a step up (depending on the situation), it seems to be more of a (another) slap at the SBC.

That's funny, but it seems to me that CW at Monroe should wear that crown-his senior ladened team couldn't get over .500 and got shellacked at home by "overrated" RB.

This is from a guy who's calling ASU's robert a hot commodity
