number 2 by far is the best of the 3 choices.
I voted for #1 because I like the black color a lot. Also I am not one who complains about having too much black in our color scheme. The uniform that we wore in the bowl game is flat out awesome. I think maybe instead of the blended Fleur de Lis we could have the tri fleur on the shoulder patch.
I personally like that more uniform options are available. I also don't see any baseball guys complain about those guys wearing black hats or black uniforms.
Brain cramps never complain, they are 1st cousins to 'blacking out.'
Here's my thoughts: I hope that #1 and #2 don't split too many votes and allow #3 to win. I don't have much of a preference between 1 or 2 (I voted 2 because it has more white), but this is a long-term thing that can't be screwed up.
I'll repeat an earlier question. Where is the UL or Louisiana lettering on the Uniform? How will anyone know what university this is? Every other school is using a Fleur de Lis. And, please change the name to reflect the name of the university, the Pride of Louisiana.
While you would think that, I know first-hand that a LOT of the band students favor #3. Think of it like Oregon's uniforms: nobody's looking for timeless and classic today. The more outlandish, the better. That, combined with what will probably be a low voter turnout (in the grand scheme of things), is why I'm considering the possibility of #3 getting enough votes to win (or at least be in the race).
#3 is the Ron Paul of this election. It isn't going to win, it stirs up the libertarians, and the guy wearing it can talk a lot about the Federal Reserve and Monetary Policy... but can't do a damn thing about it.
Oh, and the old uniform is much like the incumbent. We cannot under any circumstances have 4 more years of that uniform. Any of the 3 band uniforms as well as 5000 other random designs would be better than the incumbent.
I voted for 2 but I think if the collar on the overlay should be black or red. 1 is not bat but a little busy. 3 is atrocious.
I really like number #1; there is something really martial and snappy about it--John Philip Sousa would like it.
#3--well, enough has been said about the *ahem* certain aesthetic quality it possesses.
In the long run, #2 is an inventive tweak on the traditional band uniform, andemphasizes our actual school colors to boot.
#2 for me.
