Louisiana is getting new band uniforms and we get a vote!

Probably about the same time LSUA&MC@BR recognizes us as UL

WHY??? We need to change it NOW to Pride of Louisiana. This is not Acadiana University. Also, where does a UL or Louisiana fit on the uniform? Surely, some lettering will go on there and not just the Fleur de Lis. Not crazy about the uniforms, but voted for #1.

I voted for number 2. I think that it's the best upgrade without looking too much like a flag team.

I agree! I know fleur de Lis originally was for Acadiana but it is wayyy overused now. Saints for sure and I even see purple a gold ones too. I like unique. Like Ragin Cajuns or just UL. Against the fluer de lis. I agree the band deserves new unis, but I did not vote

I liked 1 & 2, but went with 2 because it emphasized red the most, using black as an accent (as it should be!). #3 is a bold attempt (a la Oregon) to be different. Not my favorite, but I like Boomer's suggestion about copying the football team and getting all three! That way we could have different looks as appropriate. I wouldn't mind seeing #3 as a once a year special.

More exciting news for the University of Louisiana as the Pride of Acadiana band has decided to get new uniforms. You even get a vote in the final three choices!

After having their current uniforms for 12 seasons, the band director, Brian Taylor, and the current band students selected three final uniform choices. Now, they are asking that the community get involved. Anyone can vote on their favorite band uniform until February 12, 2012. You are allowed one vote per email address. The winner will be announced on February 13th, 2012.

I like #2 for UL. #1 isn't bad... but #2 looks more like it belongs to UL.

#3... I can't say what I think of #3 without being insensitive to the sexual orientation of certain people... so I think it best that I do not say what I think of #3.

I hear you and I do not think the Fleur de lis is over used. If you live or travel outside of Louisiana you receive lots of compliments.

I like #2 but with the shoulder things from #1
