I do have a lot of respect for all of you electrical and mechanical engineering grads; I know how tough those curriculums are; I was a CIVE; tough but not toughest!

I work in the application and technical engineering division of Baker Petrolite, but my degree is chemistry and microbiology. Everyone I work with is Petroleum and Mechanical and we all do the same thing? How about you?

How long did it take you to get through school; that is a very impressive combo degree, brainiac!

Petroleum, otherwise known in the Mechanical Department as ME light, haha. I cannot wait to graduate in May!

I'm a PE. Felt easy to me, in school, but now knowing the people that tried and couldn't finish, I now understand how it was hard (we are a jack of all trades engineer - a little Civil, lots of Mechanical, lots of Chemical, a little Geology, etc). Even though Im stuck in oil and gas, I wouldn't change for the world.I love what I do. As for my kids, one day, I'd try to stear them towards Aeronautics, Nuclear, or something the like.

As for sports and PE, wasn't that hard, just have to prioritize and be grounded (not too easy for a twenty year old).

I'm Petroleum also. And don't worry about those MEs. After graduation their paychecks will be known as PE light.

Mechanical engineers build things, electrical engineers plug them in.
